Stop Training for Who You Used to Be...

One of the most common things I hear as a personal trainer is:

"I used to..."

"I used to run.""I used to lift heavier weights.""I used to be so much fitter."

But here's the thing...

Your fitness journey isn't about looking back. It's about looking ahead.

Instead of asking what you used to be able to do, ask yourself:

What do I want to be able to do 10, 20 or even 30 years from now?

Do you want to:

  • Walk confidently on holiday?

  • Lift your grandchildren with ease?

  • Get up off the floor without help?

  • Carry your own groceries?

  • Stay strong, mobile and independent?

Then train for that.

Every strength session, every mobility exercise and every walk is an investment in your future self.

Don't compare yourself to the person you were 20 years ago. Compare yourself to the person you want to become.

Train with purpose. Build strength. Improve mobility. Adapt as your body changes.

When you focus on where you're going instead of where you've been, your world doesn't get smaller—it gets bigger.

Keep looking forward. Keep moving. Keep building the future you deserve.
