(A feeling of great pleasure and happiness)


As people we are social creatures. Being among others that support us, converse with us and listen to us gives us great pleasure making us feel a sense of happiness.

Among ourselves we form all kinds of complex alliances, affiliations, attachments, loves and hates. If these connections break down this can impact our physical and mental health.

Being around people we love brings down blood pressure and anxiety. People in general are good for us!

For me, joy is the simple things. Connecting with nature, the feeling of ‘glad I did that’ after exercise, laughter, our dogs, walking the dogs, shopping 😜 and spending time with family and friends. I love to eat good food and drink fine wine! These things feed my soul, my joy, my happiness!
